Silver Pride 2026 here in Sarasota — a wonderful afternoon celebrating LGBTQ+ adults 50 and older, held at Senior Friendship Centers under the theme "Honoring Our Past, Celebrating Our Future."
We had a table at the event and loved connecting with members of our community, sharing information about our services, and simply being present for a celebration that matters. The energy in the room was warm, joyful, and full of the kind of community spirit that reminds us why we do this work.
Silver Pride is a reminder that every person — regardless of age, background, or identity — deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. We're grateful to Project Pride SRQ and Senior Friendship Centers for putting on such a meaningful event, and we look forward to continuing to show up for the communities we serve.
